Daystar Center Seeking

Part-Time Entry-Level Administrative Assistant

The Daystar Center is now hiring a self-motivated, energetic individual to assist in serving students, customers and clients of the Center.  We are looking for an individual who will be excited to learn the basics of office administration and the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a nonprofit.  We provide a training program for this position and the position is for IMMEDIATE HIRE!

Job Requirements:

•  This person must have strong Microsoft Office Skills.
•  A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• This is an entry-level position, so no more than 1-2 years of experience.  A very recent college graduate or current graduate student would be IDEAL for this position.
• Must have extremely strong spelling and grammatical skills.
• This person will be interacting with the public regularly so they must be extremely professional.
• This person must be able to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work nights and weekends if needed.
•  This position could very well lead to a career in the nonprofit sector.

Throughout the day, some of our teachers will be here doing some demo classes.  Here's a schedule of what's happening when:

10am - Community Yoga (ages 12 and up)

11am - Guitar (all ages, private and group lessons) 

12pm - Visual Art (get a sneak peak of 2 new classes; 1 for grades 6-12, the other for adults) 

2pm - Violin (all ages, group lessons)

This is also a great time to take a tour of our space to see if it meets your room rental needs.   

Enrollment is now open for our fall classes! We're continuing some of our old favorites and adding some exciting new classes. Click on the Classes tab for a complete schedule.
